Ram Lalla and the Journey to Sai Mandir, Olst, Netherlands
Ram Lalla represents Lord Rama in his divine infant form and holds a cherished place in Hindu devotion.
“Lalla,” meaning “beloved child,” emphasizes Lord Rama’s innocence and purity in his early years.
Lord Rama is the hero of the ancient epic, the Ramayana, and embodies the virtues of duty, honor, and compassion,
which have influenced Hindu culture for centuries.
The most famous temple dedicated to Ram Lalla is located in Ayodhya, India, where Lord Rama is believed to have been born.
With the establishment of the new Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on 22nd January 2024, devotion to Ram Lalla has seen a
resurgence, drawing millions of devotees from around the world.
In a momentous development, a Ram Lalla statue has now been brought from India to the
Sai Mandir in Olst, Netherlands, marking the first consecration of Ram Lalla outside of Ayodhya.
This makes the Sai Mandir in Olst a unique and historic place of worship for Ram Lalla devotees globally,
serving as the second home for this divine figure outside of India. The Pratishta (consecration)
has taken place on Sunday 21st of July 2024.
The presence of the Ram Lalla statue in the Netherlands brings the spiritual heritage of Ayodhya closer to Hindu
communities in Europe. This occasion fosters cultural unity and allows devotees to connect with the spirit of Lord Rama,
whose teachings of compassion, righteousness, and peace continue to inspire worldwide.
